Congratulations MSBG! We have received an Honorable Mention Award for the 2010 Ohio Schools of Character awards program. This award is bestowed on behalf of the Ohio Partners in Character Education, the Ohio Department of Education, the Ohio Better Business Bureaus, and the Character Education Partnership. Our school will be recognized at a special awards ceremony at the Ohio Schools of Character Summit this fall. The following is a quote from our award notification, The Montessori philosophy embodies so much of the 11 Principles [of character education. BG Montessori's strength is how well the philosophy is followed and how peace education and respect have been incorporated. It appears that you have developed an excellent learning environment built around the principles taught by Maria Montessori. The school has a strong academic curriculum with strong ties to Character Education. The staff is highly involved in seeing that Character Education is taught through various methods.
